Pune: State Excise Department Files Chargesheet Against Pub Owners in Kalyani Nagar Accident Case

Pune: On Sunday midnight, two IT engineers were killed after being hit by a speeding EV Porsche car. This incident took place in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area around 3 a.m. on Sunday. The prime accused in the accident case, who was driving the Porsche car, is the son of a famous builder in Pune.

In the primary investigation, it was revealed that the accused minor had partied at two places: Black and Cosie restaurant in Marriott Suites. In this regard, the State Excise Department has now taken action against pub owners.

The owners of pubs at the five-star Marriott Suites were booked for selling liquor to minors. In this case, the State Excise Department has filed a charge sheet against Sagar Chordia, the owner of Panchshil Infrastructure, in court. Apart from this, the State Excise Department also informed that they are filing another charge sheet against Prahlad Bhutada, the owner of Cosie Bar.

Meanwhile, the accused’s father, Vishal Agarwal, was booked under IPC Sections 279, 304 (a), 337, 338, 427, Motor Vehicle Act Sections 184, and 119/177 after Akib Ramzan Mulla (24), a resident of Chandannagar and native of Solapur, filed a complaint in this matter.

Two people who were killed in this accident have been identified as Ashwini Koshta and Aneesh Awadhiya.
