Pune: Policeman’s wife kills toddler son, commits suicide

Pune : NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- A 22-year-old woman killed her one-and a half-year-old son and allegedly ended her life by hanging herself at their residence at Tilekarvasti on Magarpatta Road, Hadapsar, between 1 am and 1.30 am on Saturday.

The deceased persons have been identified as Jahnvi Amit Kamble and her son Shivansh Amit Kamble.

The woman, who is the wife of a police constable, left a suicide note alleging that she was ending her life and killing her son as she was fed up of the harassment by her mother-in-law. “You (Amit) love me a lot but you are not able to give me much time, it is my misfortune. Mother-in-law Sujata has been continuously harassing me”, Jahnvi stated in her complaint.

The Hadapsar police arrested the mother-in-law on charges of cruelty and abetting her suicide.
