Pune police arrest seven illegal moneylenders within a month of helpline launch

Pune : NpNews24 Online Citizens have been responding well to the helpline launched by the Pune police to address complaints regarding illegal private moneylenders. Of the 12 complaints received, cases have been filed against seven illegal moneylenders so far and they have been arrested.

An illegal moneylender from Pune rural was also caught and handed over to the Pune rural police. Action was taken against them under the Maharashtra Money-Lending (regulation) Act 2014 and under sections of the IPC.
