Pune Pimpri Chinchwad Crime News | Hinjewadi police arrest three for possessing country made pistols without licence; Three pistols and cartridge seized

PIMPRI : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Pimpri Chinchwad Crime News | The police are taking action against those harbouring illegal weapons and indulging in illegal business in the limits of Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerate. The Hinjewadi police took action at two places and arrested three people for possessing country made pistol. The arrested accused have been identified as Prem Mahesh Jagtap (19), a resident of vadgaon Budruk, Hrishikesh Subhash Ozarkar (25) and Roshan Dashrath Telange (21), both residing in Mulshi taluka and hailing from Yavatmal. The action was taken on Wednesday.

Policeman Balsane got the information that a youth had come to sell a country made pistol at the phase II circle. The police laid a trap and apprehended Prem Jagtap. When he was searched, the police found a country made pistol worth ₹30,000 and a live cartridge worth ₹500.

Meanwhile, at 9 pm, when the officials and policemen were busy with their duties, Police Nik Narle came to know that two persons were moving around with pistols near the phase 3 circle. The police laid a trap near the bus stop. When the duo tried to run away, the police apprehended them. When they were searched, the police found two country made pistols worth ₹70,000. The police arrested them. The police are probing from whom they got the pistol and for what purpose.
