BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has made a controversial statement. Nitesh Rane allegedly said that Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray is a leader of the transgenders. After this statement, the transgenders have warned of staging a statewide agitation.
The members of the transgender community had gathered at the Bund Garden police station to lodge a complaint but the police refused to register the complaint. Hence, the transgenders have started an agitation from midnight.
In the morning, there was a scuffle between the police and transgenders. The members of the transgenders alleged that the police were under pressure from the local administration.
