Pune News | Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey gently reprimanded by Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil
PIMPRI: NpNews24 Online – Pune News | Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil who was speaking at a programme in Pimpri, said, “The organisers of the programme should have ensured that the wife of Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey attends the programme but they did not make any efforts. Hence, in the future, the CP will not be given permission to attend a programme without his wife.” Patil’s remarks evoked laughter in the auditorium. (Pune News)
Patil was speaking at a programme organised by Pune Union of Working Journalists (PUWJ) to discuss the functioning of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate for the last five years and to felicitate CP Vinoy Kumar Choubey for getting a President’s Medal. MP Shrirang Barne, MLA Ashwini Jagtap, Uma Khapre, Civic Chief Shekhar Singh, PMRDA Commissioner Rahul Mahiwal Deputy RTO Atul Sade, Joint CP Dr Sanjay Shinde, President of PUWJ Pandurang Sandbhor and PUWJ’s General Secretary Sukrut Mokashi were present.
“The organisers of the programme should have made efforts to ensure that CP Choubey’s wife also attends the programme but they did not do so. Hence, she is not here. Police officials are always at the receiving end for coming home late. They also have to go out at night for official work and they don’t inform their family members. There is a large crowd in the auditorium when the CP is being honoured. Hence, his wife’s presence was necessary. The CP’s wife is a professor and she may be watching the programme online. It is very rare that police officials are praised and honoured. Police officials should be honoured to boost their morale. They are also human beings and they also deserve praise. The CP has completed 26 years of service. I wish all the best for his future and he will be here for two years,” Patil added.
