Pune: Municipal administrations allows parks to reopen from January 25

Pune : Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to reopen the parks which were closed due to Covid-19 induced lockdown from January 25 on certain terms and conditions. However, comedy clubs, cultural programs, yoga will not be allowed in the parks.

Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar issued the order on Wednesday, January 20. Of the 81 parks in the city, 60 parks outside the restricted area will be allowed to open from 6 to 10 am and 4 to 8 pm from January 25, the order said.

The use of masks in parks, maintaining social distance has been made mandatory. Children under the age of ten, pregnant women and those over the age of 65 will also be barred from entering the park. The circular also warns of action against those found violating the rules.
