Pune: Man killed in a road accident near Amanora Mall in Hadapsar

Pune: A labourer was killed in a road accident near Amanora Mall in Hadapsar at midnight on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Ajay Gaikwad (25). A case has been registered at Hadapsar police station.

According to information received, Ajay is originally from Osmanabad district. He worked in Pune as a labourer and lived in a labour camp. Meanwhile, at around one o’clock on Friday night, he was walking in front of the Amanora Mall. At this time, he was hit by an unidentified vehicle, leaving him dead on spot.

Upon receiving the information, Assistant Inspector Raut of Hadapsar Police Station rushed to the spot. Ajay was later taken to Sassoon Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the doctors. Police are searching for the driver through CCTV. Hadapsar police are further investigating the case.
