Pune Kartik Pournima: Have a look at Deepotsav in Dagdusheth Ganpati, Mahalakshmi temple; Parvati Kartik Mandir closed for devotees

Pune: The Kartik Pournima also known as Tripuri (Tripurari) Pournima was celebrated with much fervour at the Shrimant Dagdusheth Ganpati Mandir and Mahalakshmi temple in the city. However, devotees were unhappy as they could not visit the Kartik Mandir atop Parvati hill on Sunday or Monday (November 29 and 30).
The Mahalakshmi Mandir was also decorated with flowers and 11 thousand traditional diyas. The Shree Mahalakshmi Mandir Saras Baug and Shree Bansilal Ramnath Agrawal Religious and Cultural Trust have organised the Deepotsav in the temple.
Trustees Rajkumar Agrawal, Amita Agrawal, Advocate Pratap Pardeshi, Hemant Arnalkar and others were present on the occasion. Sulbha Deshmukh and Madhu Shitole made the flower rangoli while Rishikesh More, Praveen Ghule, Tukaram Jadhav, Gurunath Chavan made the traditional diyas arrangement.
The Shrimant Dagdusheth Mandir had a glowing 51 thousand diyas and flowers decoration from the temple entry gate to the spire (Shikhar). The annual ritual of Annakot was done in a simple manner this year considering the Covid-19 outbreak. This was the 22nd year of the Kartik Purnima celebrations at the temple.
Meanwhile, devotees were unhappy as the Kartik Mandir atop Parvati Hill has been kept closed on Sunday and Monday (November 29 and 30). The Dev Deveshwar Sansthan takes care of the Peshwe-era Kartik Swami Mandir on the Parvati Hill. However, the Sansthan failed to inform the devotees about the temple being closed for darshan.
The Sansthan had put up a board at the Parvati Hill base about the temple being closed. Police were appointed at the location and they were stopping the devotees from going ahead. Hence several devotees had to return without taking the darshan.
