Pune: Mahavikas Aghadi’s Shirur Lok Sabha candidate, Dr. Amol Kolhe, took a swipe at opponents, saying, “As opponents do not have anything to say on development and policy issues, they are making personal attacks on me.”

Mahavikas Aghadi and India Aghadi parties took a campaign inaugural rally for their candidates for Lok Sabha Election 2024 today. Before this meeting, Dr. Kolhe filed his nomination papers in the collector’s office. After that, the campaign inaugural rally for the three candidates for Mahavikas Aghadi was held in front of the Shantai Hotel.

At this campaign rally, Hon’ble Sharad Chandraji Pawar, Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan, Balasaheb Thorat, Mohan Joshi, Baramati, and Pune Lok Sabha Candidate Supriya Sule, Ravindra Dhangekar, Vishwajit Kadam, Sangram Thopte, Sanjay Jagtap, Sushma Andhare of Shiv Sena, Sachin Aher, Aam Aadmi Party Leader Ajit Patil, Bhushansingh Raje Gajendrasingh Raje Holkar, and other dignitaries were present.

While speaking at this rally, Amol Kolhe said, “While the second and third rounds of campaigning are going on, the people of the country and the state decided to blow the turrah and light the torch (party symbols of the NCP-SP and Shiv Sena UBT group) with pride. But sadly, as opponents do not have anything to say on development issues, they are criticising me personally.”

“I am trolled by being an actor. However, I want to say, It’s okay to be an actor, but not be treacherous and disloyal.” Amol Kolhe also lampooned Ajit Pawar for his statement over the allotment of funds. Kolhe said, “Threatening people over funds is a mockery of democracy. The funds you claim to give are not yours but the people’s money.” Amol Kolhe further said that it is still incomprehensible for me where this arrogance of power comes from.
