Pune: Faraskhana Police Made Swift Arrest Under POCSO Regarding Rape of Minor Girl in Kasba Peth

Pune : Faraskhana Police apprehended a 25-year-old youth from Kasba Peth for sexually assaulting a minor girl by luring her into his love and falsely promising her marriage. Faraskhana police took this action after a minor girl was found pregnant.

The accused individual is identified as Rishikesh Tatkare. As per the police information, Tatkare and a 17-year-old victim girl are well acquainted with each other. Tatkare initially contacted the girl and lured her into a romantic relationship. The accused falsely promised the girl a marriage and won her trust.

After that, one day the accused called the victim girl to his house and forcefully raped her, despite having a clear idea that she was underage. This incident took place in December 2023 at the residence of the accused. This incident came to light after the victim girl was found pregnant.

After that, the victim girl filed a complaint at Faraskhana police station on Friday, March 8. Accordingly, police booked Tatkare under IPC 376/2/J and the POCSO Act and subsequently arrested him. Further investigation in this case is being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Rupnar.
