Pimpri Chinchwad: Police Bust Motorcycle Theft Ring, Arrest Recidivist Thief in Bhosari

Pimpri Chinchwad : The investigation team of Bhosari police station has apprehended a notorious motorcycle thief, Yogesh Shivaji Dabhade (24), residing in Walsane village, District Dhule. Acting on intelligence regarding vehicle theft, Senior Police Inspector Vishwanath Chavan and Police Sub-Inspector Balaji Jonapalle, under the leadership of Police Sub-Inspector Mukesh Mohare, orchestrated a swift operation resulting in the arrest of the accused.

Upon his arrest, Dabhade was found in possession of 16 stolen motorcycles valued at Rs 3 lakh, 84 thousand. The meticulous investigation, involving CCTV footage analysis and extensive patrolling, led to the identification and subsequent apprehension of Dabhade, a habitual offender in motorcycle theft.

Further inquiries revealed that Dabhade, along with his accomplice Monty Wagh (22), a resident of Dahiwad, Taluka Chalisgaon, District Jalgaon, had orchestrated a spree of motorcycle thefts across various locations, including Bhosari, Chakan, Mhalunge, Khadki, Talegaon Dabhade, Lonikand, and Sangvi. The police have successfully recovered all the stolen bikes.

Dabhade’s criminal record reveals a pattern of recidivism, with a total of 17 motorcycle theft cases spanning across Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, Nashik City Commissionerate, Nashik Rural, Jalgaon Rural, and Dhule Rural. The seizure of 16 motorcycles, totaling Rs 3 lakh 84 thousand, sheds light on 14 confirmed theft incidents attributed to Dabhade.

Specifically, 14 stolen bikes were traced back, with 7 from Bhosari, 2 from Mhalunge, and 1 each from Talegaon Dabhade, Chakan, Sangvi, Khadki, and Lonikand Police Stations.

This action was taken under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Vinay Kumar Choubey, Additional Commissioner of Police Vasant Pardeshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police Circle 1 Swapna Gore, Assistant Commissioner of Police Pimpri Division Vishal Hire, Senior Police Inspector Vishwanath Chavan, and Police Inspector Rupali Bobde, by the team of Police Sub-Inspector Balaji Jonapalle, Police Sub-Inspector Mukesh More, Police Commissioner Hemant Kharat, Navnath Pote, Prakash Bhojane, Women Police Constable Mule, Swami Narvade, Sagar Jadhav, Ashish Gopi, Prabhakar Khade, Sachin Satpute, Mahadev Garole, and Dnyaneshwar Salve.
