Pune: Dr. Amol Kolhe, representing the Mahavikas Aaghadi in the Shirur Lok Sabha constituency, once again showcased his political courtesy, earning accolades from his constituents. During a campaign rally in the Indrayaninagar area of the Bhosari assembly on Sunday, April 14th, Kolhe demonstrated his commitment to respectful discourse in politics.

The incident unfolded when Kolhe observed one of his supporters resorting to bitter language while criticising the opposition during the rally. Without hesitation, Kolhe intervened, taking the microphone away from the individual and urging for decorum in political discourse, even amidst criticism of opponents.

His swift and respectful action resonated deeply with the audience, garnering admiration from many in the constituency. People began to appreciate MP Amol Kolhe for his commitment to maintaining political decency, even in the heat of campaigning.

Residents of the Neo Regal society in the Indrayani Nagar area warmly welcomed Kolhe during the rally. However, amidst the addresses, a senior citizen from the society raised his hand to speak. While expressing concerns about the lack of effective governance and criticizing the politics of the BJP, the senior individual began to harshly criticize former Home Minister Dilip Valse Patil.

Reacting promptly, Kolhe stepped forward, taking the microphone away from the person. He then appealed to all activists present, urging them to refrain from using derogatory language against anyone during the election campaign. Kolhe emphasised, “Despite our frustration with the BJP’s actions and their leaders’ use of foul language, we must not compromise our political decency.”

The gesture was met with applause from all the residents present, who appreciated Kolhe’s commitment to maintaining a respectful political environment. Furthermore, Kolhe continued to display his political civility when he met rival candidate Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil at Shivneri Fort, where he respectfully touched Adhalrao’s feet and greeted him.
