Violence in Dattanagar area of Warje over property dispute
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | An incident has come to light where a youth forcibly took possession of a flat given on rent with the help of a gang and tried to kill his cousin by assaulting him. The gang members also vandalised two motorcycles, an autorickshaw and a car parked outside the flat.
Sagar Dagadu Barate (38), a resident of Warje gaon has filed a complaint with the Warje Malwadi police station. The police have filed a case against Gopi alias Vijay Parbati Sashte (39), a resident of Dattanagar, Warje, Yash Vijay Sashte, Kartik Kamble, a resident of Ramnagar, Akash alias Titlya Mulje, Prateek alias Rana Kshirsagar, Amit, Vishal and two others. The police have arrested Vijay Sashte. ‘
According to the police, Sagar Barate is a contractor and he has a construction business. He had given a shop on rent of Rs 1,000 per month for 10 years to his cousin Vijay Sashte, who is Sagar’s neighbour. Vijay Sashte has illegally occupied the shop and a legal dispute is going on between them. Gopi Sashte’s mother and complainant’s mother are sisters.
Their aunt Asha Jadhav stays in Ramnagar and she is supporting the complainant. Vijay Sashte was upset about this. Vijay and his son were arguing for the last two days because of this dispute.
On Sunday night at 9.30 p.m. Vijay, his son, Kartik Kamble and others, who were armed with weapons, threw stones on the complainant’s house. When the complainant came out of the house, Akash attacked him with a sickle but the complainant evaded the blow. The sickle got stuck in the shed of the house and the complainant’s life was saved.
Vijay, Yash and Kartik vandalised the vehicles of Asha Jadhav’s sons Suraj and Kiran. They also damaged a rickshaw and other vehicles. Some residents and autorickshaw drivers tried to stop them but they were threatened. The complainant escaped from the place and saved his life.
The Warje police have registered an attempt to murder case and arrested Vijay Sashte.
