Police Chief Amitabh Gupta acts against Chhotya Sunil Lokhande gang by using MCOCA

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime | Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta is taking action against gangs of criminals by using MCOCA to control crime in the city. The police chief has taken action against criminal on record Omkar alias Chhotya Sunil Lokhande and his aides Dashrath Bhima Jogdand, Pradip Dharma Devkule, Kanha alias Rohit Bhima Jogdand and two minors under the act. The police chief has taken against 76 gangs so far and 13 gangs in this year under MCOCA. (Pune Crime)

 

Serious crimes are registered against gang leader Omkar alias Chhotya Sunil Lokhade (25), a resident of near Padmaja Park, Bibvewadi, Dashrath Bhima Jogdand (25), a resident of SRA building, A wing, Bibvewadi, Pradip Dharma Devkule (26), near Laketown, Bibvewadi, Kanha alias Rohit Bhima Jogdand (24), a resident of Bibvewadi at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station.

 

Serious crimes like murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, robbery, riots, serious injury, creating terror and fighting are registered against Lokhande and his five aides at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. The gang has committed serious offences since 2009 to create terror and establish their supremacy. They have committed serious crimes for their own economic benefit.

 

A proposal to take action against the gang under MCOCA was prepared by Senior PI Jagannath Kalaskar and sent through DCP Sagar Patil to Addl CP Rajendra Dahale. The proposal was approved and action was taken against the gang under MCOCA. ACP Yashwant Gawri is investigating the case.

 

Amitabh Gupta, after becoming police commissioner, has taken strict measures to keep tabs on criminals and is taking action by using MCOCA. So far, action has been taken against 76 gangs and 13 gangs this year.

 

The action was taken by a team of officials including Senior PI Jagannath Kalaskar, PI, Sangita Yadav, PI Vijay Puranik, PSI Gaurav Dev, policemen Chandrakant Mane, Mahesh Baravkar, Nilesh Dhamdhere and Shivdatt Gaikwad under the guidance of CP Amitabh Gupta, Jt CP Dr Ravindra Shisve, Addl CP Rajendra Dahale, DCP Sagar Patil and API Yashwant Gawri.
