PUNE : Pune Crime News | A youth died by suicide in Talegaon Dabhade after hanging himself after losing ₹20,000 in online rummy. The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Somnath Kaldante. Ganesh was a cab driver and he used to drive his taxi. He was addicted to playing online rummy, the Talegaon Dabhade police said.
Many people fall prey to online games by trying to earn maximum money in minimum time. Many are lured by online games with the promise of earning more money. Ganesh used to drive his cab to earn a living. He was addicted to playing online rummy and alcohol, said Sr PI of Talegaon police station Satyawan Mane.
On Sunday, when everyone was having dinner, Ganesh died by hanging himself in his bedroom. His family members knocked on the door but since there was no response, the door was broken. His family members saw that Ganesh had hanged himself. Ganesh was always busy with his mobile, according to available information. The Talegaon police clarified that Ganesh died by suicide after losing ₹20,000 in online rummy. The Talegaon police are carrying out a probe.
