Pune Crime News | Pune crime branch arrested murder accused absconder after 4 months

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime News | On April 7, 2023 a 21-year-old man was stabbed to death with a sharp weapon in Pune due to the misunderstanding of settling a dispute. The incident took place in front of MIT College. The Pune police crime branch succeeded in arresting the accused who was absconding for four months. He was arrested from Beed. (Pune Crime News)

The name of the murdered man was Amit Kumar Kanhaiyalal Vishwakarma (21) a resident of Koparali in Lohegaon. A case was registered against Shantanu Shivraje Chate (19) and Dilip Baburao Hage (21) both the residents of Vadgaon Road in Alandi at Viman Nagar police station. Dilip Hnage who was absconding in this crime from the last four months has been arrested from Beed by the team of unit-4. The deceased Amit Vishwakarma filed a complaint in this regard.

The Pune crime branch police officials said, ” The accused assaulted the complainant with a sharp weapon as they believed that deceased Amit was settling the dispute. He was seriously injured and was admitted to the hospital for treatment where he died during the treatment. So the Viman Nagar police station included Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 302 in the case.

Dilip Hange, is a fugitive accused in the police record. Kathungwadi police officers Sanjay Adhari and Vinod Mahajan came to know that they were in Beed and accordingly the police arrested the accused Hange with the help of police officers and enforcers of Neknur police station. He confessed to the crime when he was thoroughly interrogated. The accused has been handed over to the Viman Nagar police for further action.

The action was initiated under the guidance of the Pune police commissioner Ritesh Kumar, joint commissioner Sandeep Karnik, additional commissioner Ramnath Pokale, deputy commissioner Amol Zende and assistant commissioner crime-2 Satish Govekar, police inspector Ganesh Mane, sub-inspector Jaideep Patil, police constable Sanjay Aadhari and Vinod Mahajan.
