Pune Crime News | Moneylenders demand more money even after receiving principal and interest; AEC arrests three moneylenders

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime News | An incident has taken place wherein private moneylenders assaulted a milk businessman and a person working in a private company by demanding more money even after they repaid the loan with interest. The Anti Extortion Cell (AEC) Pune of Pune Police Crime Branch has arrested three moneylenders after registering an FIR against them for illegal business and extortion under the Moneylenders Act. The Khadak police have registered an FIR under the Moneylenders Act against Yash Sanjay Memane and Manav Sanjay Memane (both residents of Raviwar Peth). Adhesh Raju Pawar, a dairy businessman, has lodged a complaint at the Khadak police station.

 

The complainant has a dairy business and he had borrowed ₹1.90 lakh from the accused for an interest of 10 pc per month. The accused had kept the complainant’s tempo as mortgage and lent the money. The complainant gave ₹1.71 lakh as interest via Google Pay and cash to the accused and demanded his tempo back. However, the accused demanded ₹2 lakh more from him. Since the complainant did not give the money, the accused abused him and assaulted him and forcibly took away his smart watch.

 

Prasad Ashok Mote, a resident of Shaniwar Peth, had taken a loan of ₹45,000 on 20 per cent monthly interest from private moneylender Suraj Manoj Pardeshi, a resident of Katraj for starting a home loan and mortgage loan business. The complainant had given ₹4 lakh via Google Pay and Phone Pe and cash of ₹50,000.

 

However, Pardeshi demanded ₹1.53 lakh from the complainant despite the fact that he had paid all the money. Pardeshi issued a threat that he will come to the complainant’s house and abuse and malign him. Prasad Mote lodged a complaint against Pardeshi at the Vishrambaug police station. The police have registered an FIR against Pardeshi underthe Moneylenders Act.

 

The action was taken under the guidance of CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende and ACP Satish Govekar by AEC Sr PI Pratap Mankar, API Changdev Sajagne, PSI Shrikant Chavan, PSI Mohandas Jadhav, policemen Vijay Gurav, Surendra Jagdale, Vinod Salunke, Sangram Shingare, Ishwar Andhale, Anil Mengde, Rahul Uttarkar, Saidoba Bhojrao, Sachin Ahivale, Chetan Apte, Pavan Bhosle, Kishor Barge, Pradeep Gade and policewoman Asha Kolekar.
