Pune Crime News | 27-year-old Ola-Uber driver kidnapped over Rs 25 lakh transaction
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | A 27-year-old Ola-Uber driver was kidnapped from Kondhawe-Dhawade due to a previous transaction of Rs 25 lakhs. The Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) of Pune has rescued the driver from Sangli and arrested six persons in this connection. (Pune Crime News)
The kidnapped Ola-Uber driver has been identified as Vaibhav Srikrishan Jadhav a resident of Chaitanya Building in Khadakvasti in Kondhawe-Dhawade.
Akshay Mohan Patil (28) a resident of Khanapur in Sangli and native of Nepal , Sushant Madhukar Nalawade (28) a resident of Tale Wasti of Khanapur in Sangli, Mahesh Malik Nalawade (25),Bokya alias Ranjit Dinkar Bhosale (26) resident of Tasgaon in Sangli, Pradeep Kisan Chavan (26) a resident of Bhalwani in Sangli and Amol Uttam More (32) a resident of Tasgaon in Sangli are the names of the arrested accused.
In this regard, Poonam Vaibhav Jadhav (26) a resident of Kondhawe-Dhawade has filed a complaint at Uttamnagar police station. This incident took place in the Swami Chaitanya Building between 8 and 9:30 pm on Saturday.
As per the police officials, ” Vaibhav Jadhav is an Ola-Uber driver. The accused Akshay Patil is in a gold and silver business in Delhi. In 2021-22 Jadhav went to work for Akshay Patil. There was a dispute between Akshay and Jadhav in Delhi over a transaction of Rs 25 lakhs. In November 2022 he came back from work and the money dispute between both of them was settled. On Saturday night the accused Akshay Patil with two accused entered the house of Jadhav when the complainant Poonam Jdhav was in the house at 8 pm. He threatened Poonam that where is Vaibhav and where is the money. The other two accused said that they were police and they asked Poonam to call Vaibhav. When Vaibhav came home at around 9 pm the accused beat him forcibly and put him in the car and took him away. Poonam Jadhav lodged a complaint at Uttamnagar police station.”
Both the units of AEC squad tracked down the kidnappers and rescued Viabhav Jadhav from Sangli. Six kidnappers have been arrested and have been handed over to Uttamnagar police for further investigation.
The action was initiated under the guidance of Pune police commissioner Ritesh Kumar, joint commissioner Sandeep Karnik, additional commissioner Ramnath Pokale, deputy commissioner Amol Zende, assistant commissioner Sunil Tambe by the Anti-Extortion Squad police inspector Ajay Waghmare, Kiran Balwadkar, Nandkumar Bidwai and assistant police inspector Abhijit Patil, Rokade and police constable Ravindra Phulpagare, Kiran Deshmukh, Kiran Thaware, Ujwal Mokashi, Rajendra Landge and Dnyaneshwar Todkar.
