Pune Crime | Extortion demand of Rs seven crore made from big businessman from Pune; FIR lodged against Aman Duggal of Koregaon Park

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | An incident has been reported wherein a demand was made to extort Rs seven crore from a company engaged in online training to build physical and mental fitness by posting a defamatory video on YouTube. (Pune Crime)

 

Jitendra Shivdayal Choksi (36), a resident of Parijat, Viman Nagar has lodged a complaint with the Vimantal police station. Accordingly, the police have filed a case against Aman Duggal (28), a resident of Koregaon Park. The incident took place between June 27, 2021 and July 2, 2022.

 

According to the police, complainant Jitendra Choksi owns a company Scott Fitness. He also owns an app named Fitter and people take training to build their physical and mental fitness. His company has been funded by Dream Capital and Elition Park. The accused, Aman Duggal, posted a defamatory video regarding Jitendra Choksi. The accused sought Rs 4 crore from Dream Capital and Elition Park.

 

He posted a video on YouTube. He threatened the complainant that if the money is not paid, then the extortion amount will keep on increasing. In July, it will become Rs five crore, Rs six crore in August and Rs seven crore in September. He told the complainant that the money will have to be transferred to the accused’s account. The complainant was threatened that he will have to face severe consequences if the money is not paid. Since the money was not paid, another video was posted on YouTube on August 20. In this video, there were many negative comments about the reputation of the complainant. Aman Duggal has posted the video on YouTube and Instagram and has demanded the money. API Lahane is investigating the case.
