Pune: AIIMS doctor arrested for running sex racket with actresses

NPnews24 Online Pune: The sleuths from social security cell (SSC) of Pune city police Crime Branch have busted a sex racket at Conrad Hotel, and rescued two actresses who worked in Bollywood and Malayalam films. Police have arrested a 74-year-old retired doctor of AIIMS Delhi, who operated the racket.

According to police, acting on tip-off received by PSI Anant Vyavhare, a decoy customer contacted the doctor who got two rooms booked in the hotel located on Mangaldas Road and brought the actresses, aged 24 and 25 years, from Mumbai. After getting signal from the customer police raided the five star hotel and rescued the two actresses and nabbed the doctor who was in the waiting room.

An FIR was registered against the doctor with Koregaon Park police station for offences under relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act.

The accused doctor who is resident of Thane, was produced before a court on Friday. He has been remanded to police custody for two days.
