Pune ACB Trap News | API, two others remanded to police custody in ₹1.5 lakh corruption case

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune ACB Trap News | The special court at Shivaji Nagar has issued an order that the API, policeman and a private person, who had been arrested for taking a bribe of ₹1.5 lakh for not registering an FIR of extortion, should be remanded to police custody till June 20, 2023. The accused have been identified as API Amol Prakash Korde, policeman Sagar Tukaram Shelke and private person Sudesh Shivaji Navale (43), a resident of Chinchwad. The complainant had given money to his acquaintance by taking a bank loan. When the acquaintance did not pay the EMI, the complainant demanded money but the acquaintance lodged a complaint against him at the Nigdi police station.

 

The complaint was to be probed by API Amol Korde and for not registering an FIR of extortion, API Amol Korde, policeman Sagar Shelke and private person Navle had demanded ₹1.5 lakh. Both of them took a bribe of ₹1.5 lakh from private person Sudesh Navle. The ACB had arrested them on Saturday.

 

The three were produced in the Shivaji Nagar court and a demand was made that they should be remanded to police custody. The special court, after hearing arguments of both parties, issued an order remanding the three to police custody till June 20.

 

Pune ACB SP Amol Tambe and DySP Shital Janve guided DySP Madhuri Bhosale, PI Pravin Nimbalkar, policeman Navnath Walke, policeman Sourabh Mahashabde, policewoman Shilpa Tupe and policeman Pandurang Mali in taking the action.
