Public transport bus stone pelted by MNS in Pune

Soon after the Maharashtra Nav Nirman Sena (MNS) chief support, the Bharat bandh which was planned to continue in Pune city peacefully turned violence after few Public transport bus was stone pelted.

On Sunday MNS president Raj Thackeray had urged his party members to be proactive in the bandh.

On Monday, according to police, it seems few agitated volunteers along with MNS party flag restrained the Kumthekar road and also stone pelted the PMPML road.

The shutdown is being imposed by Congress party and according to sources; Shiv Sena is going to stay out while MNS supported it.

Hike in fuel prices has left the people with a series of discussions in the nation.

On Monday nation witnessed the hike in prices of petrol and diesel. The government after increasing the prices of petrol and diesel has given opportunities to the opposition parties to speak about the present government.

Due to this incident, the children and the working professional heading to office took a back foot and prefer to be at home.

The protest has been supported by National Congress Party (NCP), Congress, MNS and other parties.

Muslim community agitated; Protests all over Pune

The city-based petrol pump was closed down and it seems such protest will continue till 3 pm and by 6 pm onwards according to petrol pump sources the petrol pump to remain open.

Pune city Congress President Ramesh Bagwe said,” this bandh we are demonstrating in democratic and peaceful manner. For which we had also met all the City based various associations to be part of it. Such protest is meant for the continued increase in fuel prices. We Congress represent common citizen and their basic need to be the focus rather than other issues. This government had failed to give basic amenities to the citizen.”

Pune city Commissioner Dr. K Venkatesham has appeal citizen not to get panic and fall prey to rumors. If voluntary want to be part of the bandh then it’s fine but doesn’t force people to close down. We have deployed our security.
