Pranab Mukherjee’s Daughter Posts An Emotional Tweet

New Delhi: As former President, Pranab Mukherjee remains in critical condition after brain surgery, her daughter and Congress leader Sharmistha Mukherjee on Tuesday posted an emotional message on her Twitter handle.

Remembering her mother she tweeted, “5 years back on this day my mother left us. But she is & will always remain with me. Suvra Mukherjee had served the first lady of India from the year 2012 until her death in 2015.

She was born on September 17 1940 in Jessore now in Bangladesh and moved to Calcutta when she was 10 years old. She married Pranab Mukherjee on July 13 1957 and the couple had two sons and a daughter.
