Pope had indicted Pune school principal for sexually abusing minor boy

The Wanowrie police station on Thursday informed a special court that the arrested school principal was earlier indicted by the Pope of Poland after internal enquiry and he was awarded five years of house arrest. However, he had fled from the confinement after the FIR was registered by the police.

Police had arrested the principal from Mumbai on Wednesday, while he was fleeing to Ahmedabad. Police has informed that he has abused more children in the school located near Race Course. The court has remanded him to police custody till September 23.

He has been arrested for allegedly showing porn films to a 14-year-old boy and then sexually abusing him. When the boy complained to the counsellor, she also didn’t report the matter to police. After some social activist learnt about it, the FIR was lodged by the boy’s parent.

Police have also booked the counsellor for offences under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
