Police gives ‘Shock Treatment’ and tortures accused; Forcefully took 8.5 lakh rupees

PIMPRI : NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- In a bizarre incident, a youth who was arrested by the police in connection with the theft of the mobile tower battery, was given a ‘shock treatment’ and also extorted 8.5 lakh rupees from him.

 

Taking this matter seriously, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner RK Padmanabhan has ordered to register a case against Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Ramesh Nale of Crime Branch Unit 1 and employee Raju Kedari on Friday night. Both have been immediately suspended.

 

Nale and his team had got information about the gang which stole the mobile tower battery in Wakad. As per the information, they took action and detained him by laying a trap.

 

During inquiry, Nale didn’t receive any kind of important information from him but there was a case of theft registered under the area of Pune District (Rural) Police. After this, he was handed over to the district police. However, Nale did not give any information to his superiors nor did any entry of arresting the accused, any medical report or handed him over to the rural police.

 

Now that youth and his family have claimed that, he was given shock treatment, attacked inhumanly and taken 8 lakh rupees from him.

 

Taking this issue seriously, Police Commissioner RK Padmanabhan has ordered to investigate the entire matter and register a case against Ramesh Nale and his team.

 

After this, according to the complaint filed by Mustak Mahalu Khan (30), resident of Kondhwa, case registered against Ramesh Nale and Ramesh Kradari. Both have been immediately suspended. Then this matter has been handed over to Crime Branch’s Assistant Commissioner of Police Satish Patil.  

 

Earlier, Nale was working in the Pune Rural Police force, he has also worked in the Vadgaon Maval, the local crime branch and at other police stations too.
