Kite string gets entangled, slits throat of father-son

PUNE: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE 24- Seems people still not have learnt lessons from previous dreadful accidents which led to many several deaths in the country due to Chinese Nylon kite strings. Chinese nylon strings were even banned after such incidents by the government.

In a tragic incident, a father and son got injured after a kite string got entangled in their throats making a cut and causing to bleed. The incident took place on Somnath Nagar road near Ramchandra Hall.

The father was travelling with his 8-year-old son on a two wheeler to his home at Wadgaon Sheri from Phoenix Mall.

The name of the father is Mahesh Gogawale who is a lawyer by profession and his son’s name is Rigveda Gogawale.

According to Gogawale, they were on their bike when suddenly a nylon string got entangled, slitting their throats, after which they fell off the bike and was hit by another scooter from behind. The nylon string was stuck in the tree and hence was no-t detectable.

Gogawale and his 8-year-old son Rigveda who got minor injuries after the accident was immediately been rushed to the nearby City Care Hospital Rigveda in Wadgaon Sheri. They are currently fine and undergoing treatment by the doctor. The father-son have been told to take rest for three days until they get discharged from hospital.
A few months ago, in a similar mishap which took place in Pune, Suvarna Majumdar died while undergoing treatment in the hospital due to the same.

Reason for death of birds:

Many birds have died due to such accidents which have taken place due to sharp kite nylon strings. Such strings have proved fatal to them.

Reason for death of human beings:

Due to urbanization and absence of free space, the kites have started flying from the roofs of houses and buildings. The order is not seriously implemented after the NGT ban. So, there is still a high percentage of children, women and senior citizens, including the animals, who get injured due to this.

Most of the deaths are caused due to Nylon kite strings are most common in Gujarat. After Gujarat, such incidents has caused many deaths of humans as well as animals and birds in states like Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Many had to lose their eyes, ears, nose due to this and suffered severe injuries in the body. Meanwhile, even after the nylon strings being banned are still used.
