Police detain 10 youths wanted to commit mass suicide at Pune collector office

The Pune city on Friday detained 10 youths including Satish Kale who wanted to commit suicide at the office of Pune district collector on Saturday (August 4) demanding Maratha reservation.

There has been already few deaths and violence over the issues and police didn’t want to take any chance. Therefore, acting swiftly police detained the youths before they could attempt any extreme step.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old youth Umesh Indait allegedly committed suicide in Aurangabad, leaving behind a note in which he has asked is he not getting job because he is a Maratha ?

Maratha community which constitute 33 percent of the total population in Maharashtra has been demanding reservation in education and job.
