Police constable charged for luring accused’s sister

Pune: A case has been registered against a police constable for seeking physical relationship with the sister of an accused in a case, saying that he would help the criminal in the case.

A case has been registered against police constable Dadaram Takmode at Bundgarden police station. A 27-year-old woman has lodged a complaint in this regard.

According to information received, Dadaram is posted at Shivajinagar police headquarters. According to the police, the complainant’s brother is an accused in a case and is being held up in jail at the Bundgarden police station. The police constable under the pretext of helping her brother, made contact with the plaintiff. He kept constantly talking to her on the phone from time to time, the police said.

He then took her to a lodge in the Pune station area on December 24, 2020 under the pretext of showing her the venue for the wedding. There he asked her for a physical relationship. Bund Garden police are further investigating the case.
