PM Modi To Hold High Level Meeting In Delhi After Returning From Leh : Sources

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi suddenly reached Leh and gave a direct message to the dragon, amidst tension on LAC. PM Modi visited forward locations today amid tension on the border. At the same time, it is being told that after returning from Leh, PM Modi will hold a high-level meeting in Delhi. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will be present in this meeting. NSA Ajit Doval will also attend the meeting.

PM Modi reached Nimu, the forward location of Leh this morning. CDS Bipin Rawat also reached Leh with PM Modi. Here PM Modi met the Army, Airforce and ITBP jawans and officers. The PM was briefed by Lieutenant General Harinder Singh, Commander of the 14th Corps.

The forward location that PM Modi visited in Nimu is at an altitude of 11 thousand feet. Nestled on the banks of the Indus River, Nimu is surrounded by the Janskar Range and is used for the acclimatization of soldiers going to Siachen.

Significantly, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to Leh was scheduled for Friday but it was canceled on Thursday.
