Pimpri Chinchwad Mayor fires shots in air?

NPnews24 Online Pimpri: It had been reported that BJP leader and Pimpri Chinchwad Mayor Rahul Jadhav fired gunshots near Pavana Dam.

However, the mayor clarified that he did not fire gun shots and just cleaned the gun after it got soaked in the rain.

Pimpri Chinchwad receives its water supply from Pavana dam. Mayor Jadhav performed ‘jal pooja’ there as the water storage in the dam is 100 per cent full.

Opposition leaders Nana Kate, Sachin Chikhale along with some journalists and officials were present on the occasion. After that they went for meal.

After the meal, Mayor Jadhav drew a new pistol. Show it to friends and inform them about it. During the laughter, he fired the shots twice in the air that caused a stir.

Jadhav said, “I was soaked in the rain due to the jal pooja. My pistol was with me that time. I have a licence. The pistol also got soaked . I was cleaning it up. That is when some journalists took photos and spread false news of firing. I have not fired any shot.”
