Nashik youth dies after he falls into Darna river in Agaskhind; body recovered the next day

Nashik: A 23-year-old slipped and fell into Darna river in Agaskhind while installing an electric pump with his father to fetch water for farming on Sunday (February 7). The deceased identified as Rishikesh Eknath Veer (age 23), died after slipping into the river bed in Sinnar Taluka.

As soon as the police received information about the incident, a search operation was carried out with the help of local farmers and swimmers. Later, his body was found floating on the water near the spot the next day around 4.30 pm during the search operation. Police Constable Ramnam Jadhav pulled him out of the water and took him to Sinnar Municipal Hospital for treatment.

Sinnar police conducted an autopsy and handed his body over to his relatives after investigation. Police have registered a sudden death in the case. Constable Ramnam Jadhav is further investigating the case.
