Mob attacks youth after a brawl over parking space

Pune: A mob of 20 people attacked a man with a scythe during an argument over parking a car at Sanket Vihar area in Fursungi. The incident happened at 10.30 am on February 13. The mob also flashed weapons causing panic among citizens.

Rahul Ghadai (23), a resident of Kalepadal, has filed a complaint in this regard against 20 people at Hadapsar police station.

According to the police, the complainant lives in Sanket Vihar area of Fursungi. While parking his car on Saturday, Ghadai and his father had an argument with five people there.

The five then called 15 others at the scene. After that, a group of 15 to 20 people beat up Ghadai with a wooden stick and a scythe on the head. The accused then tried to kill him by throwing stones at him.

Meanwhile, the accused created panic among citizens who rushed to help the victim by flashing weapons. Rahul was critically injured in the incident and was admitted to the hospital for treatment. Police Sub-Inspector Saurabh Mane is further investigating the case.
