Massive collision on Kondhwa road, Pune; man severely injured

Seems, the Punekars are really having a tough time. The rain, the traffic jam and road accidents are constantly creating troubles for common people. In a tragic incident which took place on a broad-day light, a tempo driver was badly injured in a massive collision.

The tempo was completely destroyed as it got smashed between a PMPML bus and Maruti van. The accident took place on Kondhwa, Katraj on Tuesday afternoon. The auto-rickshaw was found in a disastrous condition.

Two vehicles of fire brigade were immediately rushed to the spot, and the auto-driver was rescued from the smashed rickshaw. Driver was unconscious and was in pool of blood and rushed to Sassoon General Hospital by the brigade jawan.

According to leading fireman, Subhash Jadhav, “As soon as we got the information, our team was sent to the location to rescue the tempo driver who was stuck in a bad condition inside the auto-rickshaw after the accident. We quickly retrieved the injured within 30 minutes without delay. The bus came down from the slope and directly hit the auto rickshaw.” Such information was given by the fireman.

Police have reached to the spot and are still probing on the case; the police are suspecting that the accident has occurred due to a break failure in the bus. Also there was a heavy traffic jam on the road which could be a possible reason, such is being suspected.

Apart from the tempo driver, no other person is injured in this accident. All the passengers of the PMPML bus, including the driver of the bus and the van are completely safe. Further investigation will reveal whether it was a break fail or the fault of the driver!
