Maratha Kranti agitators target ST buses

Maratha Kranti Morcha has taken a violent turn. In past ten days, 353 buses of state transport (ST) have been damaged which has resulted in loss of revenue of Rs. 22 crores. In total, the corporation has faced a loss of about one crore of rupees.

According to sources, in some areas of Pune, protesters have smashed the ST buses and have been burnt. During the ongoing agitation, from July 20, ST buses have faced a loss of Rs 22 crore 2 lakh 13 thousand 749 rupees. The ST administration said that a loss of Rs 1.45 crore and 15,566 rupees was faced due to the smashing and rupturing of the buses done by the agitators. So far, the violent crowd has broken 136 buses in Solapur. In all these outbreaks, ST traffic has been severely affected in the past ten days.

Pune division goes into a loss of 72 lakhs:

According to ST Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPL), Pune is an important department for ST corporations. But, in the last ten days, the department has suffered a lot and has canceled more than 500 trips. The bus services of Solapur, Nashik, Aurangabad, Latur were closed the whole day. As a result, information about the loss of revenue of around 72 lakhs was reported.

 PMPL faced huge loss  of upto Rs 87 lakh:

On Monday, the violence caused by the agitators in Chakan was not enough. Also, the mob has caused a state of unrest by rupturing public and private vehicles. Meanwhile, in this, 10 buses of PMPL were burnt and 5 buses were destroyed. The administration has faced a loss of about 87 lakh rupees.

In Chakan, some buses were set ablaze which were of ST and PMP buses. In this, 12 buses owned by PMP, 54 lakh 30 thousand, and four rented buses faced a loss of Rs 33 lakh. This is due to which the PMP, has suffered a major setback.

Traffic off the next day:

On the backdrop of the agitation in Rajgurunagar and Chakan area on Monday, the PMPL administration kept the traffic blocked on this route Tuesday for security reasons and did not let any PMPL bus from Pune leave.
