Man tries to sexually assault a minor luring her with chocolate  

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE-  India known for being the rape country in the world, does not surprise us with the number of cases daily but puts us in shame. We often think, crime patrol and movies exaggerate when they show a minor bee n lured by a chocolate and later is been raped.

Well, keeping that in note, a man attempted to rape a six-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh district hospital after drawing her to him with a chocolate. Police said they are investigating surveillance footage from the hospital.

The girl had accompanied her family members to the hospital to meet her mother who had just delivered a baby. She was playing outside the ward around 4 pm when a man offered her a chocolate and took her to a toilet in another ward.

When he tried to rape the girl, she started crying out loudly. Hearing her cries, the caretaker of the ward ran towards the spot. Upon seeing him, the man escaped. The girl was unable to give any information about the man but the police have ensured that they are investigating surveillance footage from the hospital to find the accused.

“We are trying to identify the accused through CCTV footage. A case will be registered and further action will be taken,” said police officer Rajesh Kumar.

Vishesh Gupta, the chairman for Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, also visited the hospital in Moradabad.

“I have visited the hospital to know more about the circumstances that led to the incident. I feel that the security of the women ward is very weak,” said Gupta, adding the statement of the girls’ parents has also been recorded.

“It has also come to light that many parts of the hospital are not under surveillance. Orders are being issued in this regard,” he added.

On December 6, the Uttar Pradesh police arrested three people in connection with the alleged murder of a differently-abled woman in Moradabad after she resisted a rape attempt.
