MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions Contributes Rs. 90 Lakh Towards Kerala C. M. Relief Fund

Pune: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – The Executive President of MIT World Peace University & Managing Chairman of MAEER, Shri Rahul Karad and the Trustee MIT Group of Institutions, Shri Prakash Joshi handed over a cheque worth ninety lacs to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan and the Hon’ble Speaker, Kerala Assembly Shri P. Shreeramakrishnan as a contribution towards the Kerala Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. A delegation of seven members of the MIT Group of Institutions team, including noted industrialist Shri Nanik Rupani accompanied and witnessed this event.

The recent floods in Kerala had rocked the nation’s sentiments. MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions, decided to contribute in the Hon’ble Chief Minister Kerala’s efforts by contributing in the relief fund and thus bringing normalcy back to the state. As such, the staff members of the MIT Group of Institutions voluntarily contributed one day worth of their salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Walking in the footsteps of Founder of MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions, Prof. Dr Vishwanath Karad, who is known for his philanthropist efforts such as the beautiful and long- lasting ghats built by him at the pilgrim centers of Alandi and Dehu for the benefits of the devotees, the unique Multimedia Coliseum at Alandi for Mass education and the construction of 120 earthquake-proof houses in earthquake-affected Nepal, Shri Rahul Karad took the initiative of making this contribution. His promptness in providing relief to the victims of natural calamities throughout the country reaffirms his commitment to human welfare and wellbeing of the society.

With similar sentiments for the denizens of Kerala, MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions has now stepped up to make a cognizable contribution in rebuilding the state and reinstating life therein. MIT’s endeavor in this regard is not limited to only making a contribution but as MIT has been a facilitator of emancipation the institution would like to be associated with the state of Kerala in taking this cause further.
