Madhya Pradesh : Shivraj Government forms ‘Cow Cabinet’ to protect cows in state

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Wednesday announced the constitution of a ‘cow cabinet’ for the protection and promotion of cattle in the state. The Chief Minister informed that the first meeting of the Cow Cabinet will be held on 22 November in the Cow Sanctuary in Agar-Malwa district.
In a tweet on Wednesday morning, Chauhan said that It has been decided to set up a “cow cabinet” for the protection and promotion of cattle in the state. The Chief Minister said that animal husbandry, forest, panchayat and rural development, revenue, The Department of Home and Farmers Welfare will be included in the cow cabinet. Its first meeting will be held on November 22 at 12 noon on Gopashtami at Gau Sanctuary in Agar Malwa.
Earlier, cabinet minister Akhileshwaranand, who was given status in Madhya Pradesh government, had said that ‘cow ministry’ should be formed in the state. He said that the Chief Minister himself is also a farmer and many people like me will help him. I also get support from people for this. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Akhileshwaranand Giri is the Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Gaupalan and Livestock Promotion Board. He was promoted to the rank of cabinet minister by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan a few months ago from the Minister of State.
