Kondhwa Police arrest man for carrying firearms; 4 live cartridges and 2 pistols recovered

Pune :  NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime News | The Kondhwa Police have arrested a person who was carrying a country-made pistol (katta) with live cartridges. The police recovered two pistols and four live cartridges from him. (Pune Crime News)

The investigation team of Kondhwa Police Station was patrolling in Kondhwa. Police constable Laxman Holkar received a tip-off that Omkar Ghule was standing near the Undri police station and that he had a pistol-like weapon. This was verified. Sub-Inspector Swapnil Patil went to the spot, along with the panchas. They detained Omkar Balasaheb Ghule (24). A pistol and live cartridges were recovered from him during a body search. A case was registered against him in the Kondhwa Police Station. He was produced in court. He was sent to police custody.

After thorough investigation, the police recovered one more country-made pistol and 3 live cartridges from the accused. The police have recovered a total of 2 country-made pistols and 4 live cartridges from the accused.

The investigation team of Kondhwa Police Station comprising PSI Swapnil Patil, Police Constable Satish Chavan, Jotiba Pawar, Laxman Holkar, Dnyaneshwar Bhosale and Santosh Bansude has arrested the accused and seized firearms from him under the guidance of ACP Pornima Taware and PI (Crime) Sanjay Mogle.
