Kondhwa Police arrest four persons, including woman, who fakes forced theft in her own house

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | A case was registered at the Kondhwa Police Station, wherein a thief entered a house, wrapped a towel over the face of and stole gold bangles and necklaces from two women. The incident took place on February 2 in Mitha Nagar. While investigating this case, the daughter-in-law of the complainant turned out to be the main facilitator of the crime. The police have arrested four persons, including the daughter-in-law. (Pune Crime News)

 

Qasim Buransab Naikwadi (21), Mehbubsab Abdulsab Badarje (25), Abdul Dastgir Mulla, all from Karnataka and the 30-year-old woman have been arrested by the police. The mother-in-law of the accused woman lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa police station. The police have registered a case of forced theft in this case.

 

Thieves entered the complainant’s home in Mitha Nagar area of Kondhwa on February 2 and wrapped a towel around face and stole gold bangles from the complainant and necklaces from her daughter-in-law’s neck. When the police interrogated the daughter-in-law of the complainant, she gave vague answers. The police suspected her. The police checked the CCTV footage of the area. On the basis of a technical analysis, police officer Mahesh Waghmare got to know that the thieves were from Gulbarga, Karnataka.

 

A police team detained the accused from Gulbarga. When they were interrogated, it was revealed that the complainant had been harassing her daughter-in-law mentally and physically from time to time over family reasons. She did not give her her own gold ornaments. Investigation revealed that the daughter-in-law of the complainant asked the accused Kasim Naikwadi to steal the jewellery from her home.
