Hungry husband beat wife for not serving food

Pune: NP NEWS 24 – Starving husband assaulted wife for not providing tiffin and serving food while going to his workplace prompted wife to approached Pune police and teach him a lesson.

This shocking incident took place in Kharadi based high-class society on Friday night. In this regard wife Varsharani Hole (32), a resident of Satyam Shivam Apartment in Mundhwa pul in Kharadi registered a criminal complaint First Information Report (FIR) against her husband Dnyaneshwar (35) with Chandannagar police station which falls under the jurisdiction of Pune city police.

Based on the complainant grievances the police have registered the case under the Indian Penal code comprises of Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means (324), Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt (323) and Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace (504).

Dnyaneshwar is a businessman by professional while the wife is the complainant. They have two children.

An assistant police inspector (API) Suraj Rajguru of Chandannagar police station who is investigating the case said, “Dnyaneshwar is married to complainant some ten years back and has two children. He owns a business. There is often a fight between the two on petty issues. But on Friday around 10.30 pm he got angry for not providing him tiffin and also when he turned up the late home she did not serve food.”

API Rajguru said, “Both had a heated quarrel and later he started abusing and beating her before children. Later he removes his leather belt and started assaulting her. Later, left her in red blue and left home. In such pain, victim approaches us and based on which we arrested her husband and put him behind the bar.”

On Saturday, Dnyaneshwar was produced before the court of judicial magistrate first class and remanded to magisterial custody for 14 days. Later his lawyer moved for bail plea and has been granted bail after furnishing solvent security of Rs 15,000.
