History of 2012 Delhi shame repeats: 3-year-old raped by 40-year-old guard


This time it is even more horrifying and shameful, 3 year old fell prey to this heinous act

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- The rape capital of the country is hitting the headlines again after six years as nothing seems to have changed after the terrifying gang-rape case on December 16, 2012, which shook the entire nation.

A 3-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 40 year-old-guard on Sunday afternoon that is on 16 December just like six year back gang rape which took place on the same day.

The 40-year-old accused is a neighbour of the victim who raped her at his home in west Delhi’s Bindapur. Later when the incident came into light, both the deceased and the accused were admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital, Delhi.

This incident came into light when the minor’s father and relatives came to know about it and informed the police. They informed police that she was missing from 1 pm when she went out to play and did not return till 3:30 pm after which the worried family members started searching for her.

The guard was about to flee, in the meantime, he was nabbed and thrashed by the local people as well as minor’s father.

He was later arrested by police and a case has been registered against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act.

According to a senior police officer, “The girl’s father went to the neighbour’s room on the ground floor and found his daughter bleeding and unconscious on the floor. The guard then allegedly tried to flee but was overpowered by the girl’s father who also immediately raised an alarm. Some neighbours arrived and they thrashed the guard before handing him over to the police”.

Police said in this case, the girl underwent a surgery and was recovering gradually. The girl’s condition was although out of danger. Also, Anto Alphonse, Deputy commissioner of police (Dwarka) visited the hospital to check her condition including the chief of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Swati Maliwal tweeting that the girl’s serious condition.
