Five Policemen Suspended for giving VIP treatment to Dawood’s brother

PUNE: NPNEWS24 ONLINE-  Five Police Officers have been suspended for giving the special treatment to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Iqbal Kaskar. Iqbal Kaskar was arrested in the extortion case. The Thane police commissioner Vivek Phansalkar has taken action against that five Police officers. One Police sub-inspector and four constables were suspended in this matter. The Action has been taken after Iqbal Kaskar’s video of eating biryani by seating in a private car was becomes viral.

The name of the suspended officers are as- Rohidas Pawar (sub-inspector of Police), Pundalik Kakade (Police constable), Vijay Halore (Police constable), Kumar Pujari (Police constable) and Suraj Manwar (Police constable) have been suspended. The action was taken under section 68 of 1981. Also, the orders of inquiry have been issued against them.

According to the information given by Police, India’s most wanted terrorist and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s brother, Iqbal Kaskar is currently in Thane Central Jail. But this incident happened when he was taken to Thane Civil Hospital on Thursday.

The Thane Police takes action of suspension against the Police officers who took Iqbal Kaskar from Thane jail to the hospital and given special treatment to him. Thane Police takes this action by taking that viral video seriously. During the investigation, Rohidas Pawar and his team have given the special treatment to Kaskar.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Madhukar Pandey confirmed the news of suspension. Iqbal Kaskar was arrested in extortion demand case of the Thane Police Anti-Extortion Cell. Iqbal has been arrested many times before this also in extortion demand cases. The encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma, who did 113 encounters had played an important role in the arresting of Kaskar.
