External Affairs Minister officially into BJP

Npnews24 online: Without being member of either house of the parliament, Former diplomat Subrahmanyam Jaishankar appointed as the Minister of External Affairs. After sworn in as Cabinet minister on 30^th May 2019, he will need to be a member of parliament with the next 6 months to remain a part of Union Cabinet.

In the presence of the BJP working president JP Nadda at the Parliament house, he officially joined Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).

Jaishankar, a close aids of Prime Minister and also hailed as his ‘crisis manager’ in the matter of foreign affairs. Jaishankar who retired from 1977-batch IFS service and also served as the Foreign Secretary for three years.
