External Affairs Minister officially into BJP

Npnews24 online: Without being member of either house of the parliament, Former diplomat Subrahmanyam Jaishankar appointed as the Minister of External Affairs. After sworn in as Cabinet minister on 30th May 2019, he will need to be a member of parliament with the next 6 months to remain a part of Union Cabinet.

In the presence of the BJP working president JP Nadda at the Parliament house, he officially joined Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).

Jaishankar, a close aids of Prime Minister and also hailed as his ‘crisis manager’ in the matter of foreign affairs. Jaishankar who retired from 1977-batch IFS service and also served as the Foreign Secretary for three years.
