Cyber project will be raised in the state to crush pornographic perversion: Devendra Fadnavis

Nagpur : NpNews24 Online  – There is a need to spread awareness about pornography among school students. Nowadays, they have easy access to related content. Therefore, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday announced that a special cyber project will be executed in the state to control pornographic content and suppress such perversion. MLA Uma Khapare sought attention on the issue of molestation of a 13-year-old girl in a BMC school in Matunga. Devendra Fadnavis was replying to it.

Fadnavis said CCTVs have been installed in some big schools and colleges in the state. However, there is a need to install CCTVs in other schools and colleges. Instructions will be given regarding installation of CCTVs here in a phased manner. Instructions have also been given to train students in schools and colleges regarding good and bad touch and self-defence. He said while replying to a sub question, a committee of secretaries of education and home department will be appointed to study cafeterias and other facilities in school and college premises.

“Activities like ‘Police Didi’ are being implemented in the state to educate the teenagers. The number of ‘Police Didis’ is being increased. Private NGOs are also participating in this. Students are strictly prohibited from using mobile phones in school and college premises. Instructions have been given to school administration in this regard. Under the joint association of the School Education Department and Home Department, a comprehensive programme will be undertaken for public awareness”, Fadnavis said.

There is a need to audit the appointment/work of drivers on school vehicles. There are laws, rules and codes in this regard. Instructions will be given to strictly follow them, said DyCM.

At this time, opposition leader Ambadas Danve demanded restrictions on cafes near the school-college. Bad habits are inculcated in students through these cafes.

Responding to this, Devendra Fadnavis said that inspection of these cafes will be considered.
