Congress Launches Rs 5,700 Crore’s Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana in Chhattisgarh on Former PM’s Death Anniversary

New Delhi : A major scheme for farmers is starting in Chhattisgarh from today. On the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Bhupesh Baghel is starting the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana from today. Rahul Gandhi has talked about this scheme many times.

Chhattisgarh is the first Congress-ruled state to initiate such scheme. Under this scheme an amount of Rs 5700 crores will be sent to the farmers accounts in four installments. CM Bhupesh Baghel launched ‘Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana’ in Chhattisgarh.

Under this, the government will provide assistance of Rs. 10,000 per acre to the farmers. This will directly benefit the 19 lakh Rabi farmers in the state. Apart from this, assistance will also be available on pulses and oil seed crops.

The Congress government will send the amount of Rs 5700 crore in four installments directly to the farmers’ accounts. The government will also pay an outstanding bonus of Rs 10.27 crore for the year 2018-19 to sugarcane farmers.
