Chakan : DYSP, other policemen injured in stone pelting during Maratha morcha

A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DYSP) and some other policemen were injured after protesters pelted stones during Maratha Morcha in Chakan.There is currently a tense atmosphere in Chakan. Police had to use teargas to disperse the protesters.

Today Chakan office-bearers of the Sakal Maratha Morcha called for a bandh to show support for the Maratha reservation movement and to get justice for the young man of Kakasaheb Shinde, who died for reservation. Therefore, markets were closed in Chakan since morning. The protesters stopped the traffic on the highway.

In the meanwhile, at around 2 pm suddenly crowd pelted stones at police near Talegaon Phata. DYSP GS Madgulkar, PSI Arjun Pawar has been injured. Due to this, there is currently a tense atmosphere in the Chakan area. DYSP Ram Pathare’s car was set on fire.
