BIG NEWS : Multiple LPG Cylinder Blasts in Balewadi Area of Pune
Pune : In Balewadi Dasra Chowk, more than 9 cylinders filled up at this place were burst due to the sudden explosion in the shops selling illegal cylinders. One of the workers working in this shop was injured, his life was saved due to on-time exit. After the explosion, a large amount of flames had spread in the area. The sound of the explosion created panic in the area. There was a huge crowd gathered after the explosion.
Soon after getting information, Fire Brigade officials reached the spot and doused the fire. After extinguishing the fire in the shop, 16 filled cylinders and 23 small cylinders were also taken out by fire brigade personnel. Had there been a delay in reaching the spot, there would have been much more damage. Nobody was injured in the incident, a fire brigade official said.
Police were also called in to disperse the crowd. Power supply was broken due to massive explosion. More than twenty-five policemen were mobilized to control the crowd.
