Assaulted to bike rider, 2 constables suspended

NPnews24 online, Pune:  The traffic Police department has suspended the two policemen from Vishrambaug branch for allegedly getting into scuffle with a commuter during a helmet check problem.

Both the Constable identified as Sunil Dagle and Nilesh Kale serving in Vishrambaug traffic branch allegedly stopped commuter Vishnu kale, a student who was riding his motorbike near Alka Talkies during a recent drive as he was not wearing a helmet.

Both the duo bikers shown there driving license, but they have been penalized with Rs 1,000 for not wearing a helmet.

As Vishnu and his friend forget their helmet and were rushing for work, were being assaulted by the police as matter reached the DCP (traffic) office, he ordered an inquiry. It was found that two policeman assaulted to the commuter and erred by hitting him.

DCP (traffic) Pankaj Deshmuk said, “They had stopped Vishnu Kale and impounded his license. He did not have helmet and soon he come back after few minutes and started shooting video and taking picture. This goes into scuffle.
