Another Honour Killing in Solapur! Husband’s dead body found where the wife was murdered

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- About two months ago, in Mangalveda’s Salgar area of Solapur, Maharashtra, an incident of honour killing had come up in which an angry father and stepmother murdered their daughter after she got married to her lover without her parent’s consent.

The spot where girl’s funeral took place, husband’s dead body was discovered from the same location after which a chaotic situation has been created in the area. Police is yet to ascertain whether Shrishail committed suicide or he was murdered and police is still probing into the case.

As soon as police received the information, police rushed to the spot and to trace out the accused, they took help of search dogs. Later it was revealed that the accused had a fear of his death, he used to say this repeatedly that the one who murdered Anuradha(deceased), will surely kill me too.

The location where Anuradha’s funeral took place, 15-20 foot far off Shrishail’s dead body was found.

An audio clip has gone viral in related to this case in which Shrishail has narrated the way in which Anuradha was murdered.

According to sources, the night before Shrishail’s death, he was online on WhatsApp up till 3:30 am.

Notably, Anuradha’s parents were very angry with her because of her love marriage. After her murder, to remove any pieces of evidence of the murder the accused burnt her dead body as a part of the ritual.

Mangalveda Police has arrested both the accused on the charges of honour killing. Their names are Vitthal Dhondiba Birajdar (55) and Sridevi (43).

Honour killing cases are increasing day by day not only in Maharashtra but across the whole nation and the mentality of people need to change. How can parents hate their daughter to an extent and can murder their own children?
